The medical committee KMA in conjunction with St. John’s Ambulance Nairobi held a First Aid training on the 23rd of January 2022 at the KMA center. With 17 attendees, it was a refreshing and interactive session carried out from 8.30am to 4.30pm. After a beautiful Quran recitation, we drove right into the basics of First Aid which included CPR, how to apply bandages, recovery position, Heimlich Maneuver for choking infants and adults, disaster management and much more. The session included a Practical and Theory segment along with group discussions and presentations to ensure the nail was hit right home. During the breaks, scrumptious snacks and lunch were served. The event was held in line with the Covid Protocol and the team ensured the venue was restored as given. Certificates were awarded at the recent AGM. The chairman also received a certificate on behalf of the committee for their commitment in training first aid to the youth.
