The Kokni Muslim Association, Nairobi held its 95th AGM on Sunday, 30th April 2023. Alhamdulillah the event was attended by 68 community members both physically and virtually.

Highlights of the meeting were:

– A Resolution was passed by majority of the members to have the Elections deferred so that the current Managing committee can continue with the impressive work they have put in over the last two years, and work on completing the building project that they have initiated, consisting of one block of 8 flats and a Community Hall, inshaAllah.

– A draw was conducted for the lucky winner of the Quiz competition, which was posted on our website, in which Thirty three members participated. The winning member, drawn by Mr. Ismail Sheikh, was Asad Abdul Wahab Alimiya, who was awarded a Samsung mobile phone.

– The Chairman, Hanif Sangrar, presented tokens of appreciation to:

Aalia Abdul Kadir Hawa – for her professional secretarial work done with dedication;

Saqib Mustafa Khambiye – for being a keen participant and all rounder, apart from carrying out his role as Treasurer diligently; and

Muzzamil Khambiye – for handling his role as Tenancy sub-committee chairperson meticulously and participating actively in our monthly meetings.
